As you can see, Penelope likes to be well dressed. If it's raining when she wakes up, she does indoor crafts like stringing beads so her clothes and paws will not get muddy. Although sometimes she goes swimming in the pond.
Penelope's lovely turquoise dress is made of soft cotton jersey, with a cotton lace edging. It has a snap closure in back. Like all the Hazel Village animal clothes, it is removable so Penelope can change her outfit to her heart's content.
Penelope herself is made of natural organic cotton velour. She measures 15" if you count her ears. She is stuffed with washable polyfill. Her eyes and nose are hand-embroidered with cotton floss.
Penelope will travel to your house in a re-usable cotton bag. She comes with a delightful lavender and mint sachet, so she will emerge from her postal journey smelling especially nice. She's nervous that in subsequent months she might get apple juice, dust bunnies, and the like on herself. She says in that event, please hand wash her and her dress. But she is not really all that picky – just give her some hugs and a sunny window and she will be a good friend.
